I played with heights, raising the screws way up to add bite, since it doesn't have that much when it's set a"normal" distance from the strings .And when I raised it up a little it got Bassier, but did get more bite. the main difference is that the frankenstein is a bit more mids scooped vs the wolfgang (not saying that the frankenstein is a scooped sounding pickup), regarding the overall tone part for part (highs-mids-lows) the frankenstein has the highs shining a bit more but in the overall sound that came out of my rig the wolfgang was a bit brighter as it has more high mids and less lows. Also the Wolfgang pickups that are in the Mexican and Indonesian models are not the Made in USA Wolfgangs that come in the USA Wolfgang models.
